This 12 Volt dc 5 amp dusk to dawn photocell lighting switch manufactured in the UK by Acetek has been designed to be fitted in to panels or light fittings offering a waterproof seal by way of 2 securing clamp nuts and a neoprene gasket. The rear housing is compact measuring (58L x 31W x 26D) and requires a 20mm mounting hole. The unit is constructed from polycarbonate with 300mm long high temperature PVC cables. The switching component of this sensor is a long life relay with Silver-Tin-Oxide contacts that switches on at light levels of 70Lux and off 110Lux. The placement of light sensing equipment it crucial to the correct operation of the device and must not be influenced by the light it has switched as this will feed back to the sensor and cause a flashing effect. Cyclops 232d
This is a mains version dusk to dawn photocell lighting switch operating at 220-240 Volt ac and capable of switching 232 watt. Unlike most photocells it uses a micro-controller to calaculate the switching operation and a Philips quality solid state device to switch on and off. Using virtally zero power to operate in either switch states and fitted with surge protection as standard this top quality photocell fits in to the smallest location being only 20mm in diameter amd 98mm long. This sensor is only suitable for use with filament lamps and electronic fluorescents ballsts with power factor correction.

Celloptik IP44 Enclosure

CellOptik Eco

Opposite is the new gereation 2010 Energy Saving electronic photocel. By design this new multi-function photocell has fewer, but superior components to increase reliability coupled with the intelligents of a Micro-controller. The low voltage versions allow the use of reduced capacity batteries as they can be programmed to switch off during the night when not required. All our Photocells are built using FR4 Quality RoHS compliant Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's). We do not use cadmium wetted relays or light dependent resistors (LDR) as these both contain the highly toxic substance cadmium. We use silicon based light sensors and Silver-Tin-Oxide relays which make our photocells suitable for both inductive and resistive loads and with the inclusion of a Micro- controller we can easily program these photocells to our customers special requirments.
